Gulf salt drifts well inland and settles on paint and wheels around the clock. It's worst on the streets west of US-41. Regular decontamination keeps it from etching in, and a ceramic coating gives the paint a sacrificial layer that sheds salt between washes. Put the summer UV on top of that and a coating earns its keep here.
