Why Southwest Florida paint needs a coating
Summer UV here sits at the extreme end of the index. Salt air drifts miles inland from the Gulf. Then the seasonal hits arrive: lovebug residue that etches hot paint, Saharan dust that turns June rain into grit, hard-water spots from every afternoon storm. Wax lasts a few weeks against all that.
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your clear coat and cures into a hard, hydrophobic layer. It blocks UV and shrugs off bug and bird-dropping stains, so every wash after it goes faster and safer. It won't stop rock chips or door dings, and no coating is scratch-proof. Its job is the slow damage, the years of Gulf sun that would otherwise dull your paint.
